Our Leadership
Sydney Parriott MA, CCC-SLP, MBA
Founder & Speech-Language Pathologist
Sydney L. Parriott built Speak Like a Professional with one mission: to help people connect clearly, confidently, and authentically. In an era dominated by AI, fast communication, and workplace pressure, she saw a gap: people weren’t struggling because they lacked talent. They were struggling because no one ever taught them how to communicate in high-stakes environments.
With a decade of clinical experience as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) and a lifelong fascination for how people think, speak, and relate, Sydney blends science-backed communication coaching, psychology, and real-world leadership insight. Her work helps clients—from anxious professionals to emerging leaders—speak with presence, warmth, and intention.
Sydney believes communication isn’t a mysterious “IT factor.” It’s a skill set anyone can build with the right tools, awareness, and feedback. And her approach is deeply human: rooted in emotional intelligence, cultural understanding, humor, and the knowledge that your voice is one of your greatest personal and professional assets.

Sydney’s “Why”
Sydney founded SLP (which she is pleased to inform you that those are also her initials) to address a growing problem: brilliant people being overlooked, misunderstood, or undervalued simply because their communication didn’t reflect their abilities.
She wanted to create a practice that:
prioritizes emotional safety
uses evidence-based communication coaching
integrates voice training, speech coaching, and mindset
supports clients navigating workplace anxiety, leadership transitions, and high-pressure speaking situations
Her philosophy is simple:
When you can communicate clearly and authentically, anxiety lessens, confidence improves, and true connection begins.
